vision to have attained stupendous growth and
development catering to various
industries?
We are a part of one of the
fastest growing economies of the world with huge
opportunities for growth especially in each of the
several verticals that PCI is active in. To be at the
right place at the right time and to make the best use
of the opportunities is the best recipe for success and
growth of any business house. Fortunately for us, at
PCI, the flagship company of Prime Group, we have not
missed available opportunities in the past 24 years of
existence and we are committed not to miss them in
future either. I see huge growth for PCI and indeed the
Group, in the fields of power equipment manufacturing,
Power Generation, EPC & turnkey projects, precision
engineering, Aerospace and specialized software
solutions relating to power, Defence and
aerospace, we have been focusing in to technology based
solutions since inception and in future too I look
forward to our Group grows on technological lines and be
counted among top technology driven engineering
companies in the country and
abroad.
EI PEL is being much talked
about these days. What areas does it address and where
do you see it in the near-term future?
In
fact Prime Electric Limited (PEL), is one of the most
significant thrust areas of Prime Group. Backed by the
rich experience of Prime Group in addressing the most
exacting needs of the Power Sector and through its range
of eco-friendly (low noise), aesthetically designed
Extra High Voltage power transformers up to 1000 MVA /
500 KV. PEL shall address the needs of the Power
Electricity Utilities; EPC companies; Sub-

station, Power generation
& Transmission and Distribution companies. It shall
also cater to large industries in various sectors such
as Steel, Cement, Petroleum, Petrochemicals and others
using bulk power. PEL's production capability, projected
to 35000 MVA, makes it one of the largest manufacturers
from India producing world-class extra high voltage
power transformers for users across the globe.

I started my business
career in the field of underground power cable fault
location through computerized hi-tech van-mounted
equipment and latest microprocessor based technology
with absolute precision without digging and this has
totally revolutionized power distribution, saving
hundreds of crores of rupees for power utilities across
the country through drastic improvement in power supply
and significant reduction in the downtime. There has
been no looking back ever since. Addressing the
technological needs of players in the primary sectors of
the economy –and particularly the core sectors relating
to the infrastructure development – by infusing most
advanced technologies from across the globe, has in fact
become a habit. Today we are viewed as a hi-tech
technology solutions provider committed to delivering
superior value for a clients’ investment.
Now, Prime
Group has grown from being a prime idea to a
multi-activity organization. Today, we have presence
across the entire Indian sub-continent and also in
Europe and the far-east through wholly owned
subsidiaries. We also supplied specialized power
conditioning systems for managing the ground control and
operations of the Chandrayan – I (Mission Moon) project.
We have also been providing over 100 MW of power through
unique battery-less UPS systems, significantly assisting
in reduction of carbon emissions. One of our Group
companies is engaged in developing the latest technology
software solutions to Indian Navy for ship designing and
infrared signature suppression for all future warships,
thereby supporting them to protect them from enemy
